SwIFF Announces a New Guest Judge for this year’s Film Festival

Swindon Independent Film Festival has seen a few changes for the 2023 festival season as the organisation moves forward and continues to grow. Alongside the new look, the festival has also appointed a new guest judge for this year’s festival.

The team at SwIFF are very proud to welcome, Dan Jewell, as a guest judge for this years festival.

SwIFF 2023 Guest Judge: Dan Jewell

Dan is currently a Senior Video Editor at Juice Moving Images alongside being a freelance Editor working primarily on documentaries, narratives and music videos. Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, but working right across the UK, Dan’s projects see him working with the likes of BBC Sport, BMW Group, and The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra.

Over the years, Dan has also worked as a lighting camera operator and director, and is a Creative at Keen Eye Media digital agency.

Commenting on the appointment of Jewell as a guest judge, Festival Director Bobbie-Leigh, said:

We are delighted to have appointed Dan as a guest judge for this years festival. His wealth of experience working in the film sector grounds his knowledge in all aspects of cinematography and film production making him a great guest judge.”

Jewell will form part of this years judging panel for the Swindon Independent Film Festival.

The 2023 Swindon Independent Film Festival Gala Evening will take place on Saturday 29th July where the winners of each of the 20 categories will be announced.
