SwIFF reveals the nominations for the 2023 Festival

With just two weeks until the Swindon Independent Film Festival begins, the team are excited to reveal the nominations for this years festival.

The 2023 festival has 20 categories covering all aspects of film and cinema. Swindon Independent Film Festival can also share that two of the categories, Best Youth Film and Best Local Film, will receive Amazon vouchers of £50 and £100 respectively. The vouchers for the two categories have been kindly donated by the Swindon Branch of the Pauline Quirke Academy.

Doug Kirby, Principal of PQA Swindon, commenting on the prizes, said: “Independent filmmaking is real talent to be admired. Swindon is a beating pulse for filmmakers, and PQA Swindon is proud to be able to donate the voucher prize for the Best Local Film award.”

Doug further added: “PQA Swindon works with young people who live in the town and surrounding areas to give them the skills and aspirations to work in the film sector. With young people being so vital to keeping the industry alive, PQA Swindon is also proud to donate the voucher for the Best Youth Film award, too.”
